Deployment is a regular occurance for the military and their families. They must endure long periods of separation and uncertainty, while trying to balance the everyday obstacles life throws. It's extremely difficult when little ones are involved. Coping with deployments--for people of any age--is difficult. Talking with your child and providing the security they need while their parent is away will make this time just that much smoother.
Military children are said to move approximately six to nine time during their schooling years. This fact alone makes it crucial for school leaders, parents and the community to communicate and support transitions within educational environments.
